Gold Scam – Watch Out For Gold Coin Buying Scams

You may have seen the ads on TV of places offering you money if you send them your gold. Watch out. An investigative report indicates some gold companies may  not be offering you all that your gold is worth. Consider the case of one person who was offered just $20 for a gold rolex watch, or another person offered only $45 each for 3 one-ounce gold coins.

Before you sell your gold coins, you need to take a look at a coin price guide to know how much you should expect to get paid. That way, you will get a fair price. Most classic U.S. gold coins are worth $200 to $2,000, and even the tiniest U.S. Gold Eagle (1/10th ounce) is worth at least $130 right now.

My love for coins and numismatics began when I was 11 years old. I primarily collect and study U.S. coins produced during the 20th century. I've also been studying meteorology and watching weather patterns for years. I enjoy sharing little-known facts and fun stuff about coins, weather, travel, health, and living green with others.
