Silver Coins Are A Better Investment Than Gold Coins Right Now

You may have heard a lot in the news recently about how gold is making people lots of money. But is it a good investment?

According to one coin dealer, the better investment is silver, not gold. One reason is because it is currently undervalued. In fact, if silver were to perform as well as gold has proportionately, silver should actually be worth at least $5 more per ounce than it is now!

What should you buy when you're looking to purchase silver coins? See why you should consider these:

  • Pre-1965 circulated silver coins
  • Silver Eagle bullion coins
  • Silver rounds and bars

Diana,

Yes, I can tell you that each of these coins is worth several times above face value; let me explain.

Your 1904 Barber ("Liberty Head") half dollar is worth at least $10-12 assuming it is not cleaned, dented, scratched, or otherwise damaged.

Your 1940s half dollars are all considered common and, unless in only lightly worn grades or higher, are approximately worth their silver bullion value - that means they are worth somewhere around $5-6 each if well worn.

There was no U.S. half dollar made in 1932, so I am not sure which coin you are referencing....

I also have 7 other silver half dollars 1-1932 6-1940's
would you have any idea the value of these?

Diana

I have a 1904 Half Dollar, what is it worth ?
